The Seventh One 1/11/24

Finally a normal day so, far here at the shop. No rain or anything. The new hires started yesterday and we received great reports on all of them. This is usually the case because we are very selective about who we hire. Me, my GM Tim and my main sales guy/manager Jestin pretty much run the company and have the luxury of choosing who gets to work here with us. Not that were some Silicon Valley billion dollar company with ice hockey rinks and free massages but we are a pretty good company to work for. So we have a fairly high standard of who we want to represent us out in the field. Because with a moving company that's what is extremely important. These guys our out there representing our company that we pretty much built from nothing without out supervision moving the contents of a home from one place tom the next. They have to know what they are doing so they get it done in a timely manner, plus they cannot damage anything and they have to have great people skills. We probably hire one out of every 100-200 people who inquire about the job. It takes a lot of time and money to hire and train the right people so we dontlike wasting our time if they are going to quit in a week.

Moving Tip-If you are hiring a moving company that you pay by the hour make sure they use full time employees, not day laborers. No that there is anything wrong with day laborers but you don't want someone who was doing road work on Monday then tree work on Tuesday to be moving your furniture on Wednesday.

The artwork was a fun one, its the only one I did where it was just one part of a body but yet its actually an entire being. Its someTHING special. I like drawing this one, it was different and I surprised myself that I could actually create something like this.

Day 8 and my family has still not mentioned me not drawing anything. Its not like I have an art studio, I did these at the kitchen table where we ate, did homework and congregated every single day for a year, then I just stopped one day and they still have not mentioned or asked about it one time.
