The Fourth Post

Finally no rain today. But it has been overcast. I feel like this is the wettest winter we've had in Florida since I moved here in what will be 26 years on Feb 4th-thats the date I moved to Florida in 1998. Man that's a long time.
Swift Moves has finally had a line of good applicants coming though the door the last four or five days. We were looking to hire at the end of last month but it was slim pickings, our theory is it was just the holidays. We did interviews all morning and now have about four or five guys coming in to train tomorrow. I hope they work out. We compensate our guys well, we expect a lot from our guys and its sometimes hard to hire when you have high standards, if we have to keep looking and turn down jobs because we don't have enough guys (or girls) then that's the breaks. That's just part of the business, its what we love to do.
Moving tip of the day-Make sure you keep track of all your screws for your beds, china cabinets, mirrors or whatever it may be during the move. Our advice is to make sure the movers you hire attach it to the piece (like tape it to the back of the headboard) somehow so they dont get lost or confused with other hardware. Ask them like ten times "do you have the screws? are they attached to bed? (or whatever)", and then make sure you and the movers know exactly where they are located. I've seen a lot of lost screws.
The picture above was one of, if not the only, building I drew. I only had three days of experience at the time and drawing the lines straight towards the vanishing point proved to be difficult. It one of my favorite drawings but the one I'm probably most ashamed of.
Day 5 and family has said nothing.
