If you read these please start from the very first day.

It always blows my mind when someone will pay our minimum to move just one piece of furniture. Every job we do has to have a two hour minimum because we have to pay for the guys for two hours, then gas, all the same coverages/insurance ext. Anything under two hours is just not enough to make it worth our while as a business. We're not trying to get rich on every job but guys don't want to wake up to get paid for one hour of work and the risk is not worth the reward for us with one hour jobs. We probably have five calls a day where someone wants to move just one piece of furniture. We tell them the hourly rate and 99% of the time they say it's not worth it-which I understand.  We try to give them some other options that might work for them and hopefully they remember us in the future. But then 1% someone doesn't mind paying a few hundred to move an old couch 2 miles down the street. Sometimes it is a $13,000 couch which makes it worth it to hire movers but it seems most of the time it's just a normal couch that costs like $500 and they are paying almost that to move it. I always tell everyone we could probably move ten pieces of furniture for the same price because we do have the two hour minimum. We are grateful either way. This was just a weird thought blog day.

Moving tip-Even if it's not an overnight move have like an overnight bag packed before the move. Any medications, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, checkbook, a little cash, ext. Should be put in a little backpack or something. Even if it's a smaller job you want to have these handy because no matter what you're probably going to be tired and don't want to have to look through all your boxes for this stuff to take a shower or whatever.

The Artwork-This piece was a definite tuning point. When I completed this one I was shocked at how good it was and this was the day I decided to do a drawing a day for the next year. I figured if I could do this after less than one month, think how good I could get in a year! I love the eyes on Scooby on this one. Till this day my son still thinks this is the best drawing I've done to date, its definitely one of my favorites.

But still day 22 and not a word from my family as to why I've abruptly stopped drawing after doing it everyday for a year.
