Country Music In Africa?

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. I've kind of covered this topic before but for all its faults I do like how the internet is bringing the world closer together. Today as I was immersed in my work which includes scrolling Facebook (very important stuff) I came across a Reel of two gentlemen from what appears to be some very isolated part of Africa who made a funny video with a very USA country soundtrack. They are dancing and doing funny stuff but I loved how the internet has helped close a giant cultural gap. Fifteen years ago I highly doubt these two guys had ever heard any type of country music but now they are getting a check from FB because they made this funny video with country music. They have a channel so I'm sure they have made many more videos and have widened what they know about the world as a whole because of a tiny phone and the internet. 

Point being, I think the internet has opened up a lot of possibilities for lots of people around the world not just for monetary gain but for actual knowledge. 

The Artwork-I think this is a guy from the old cartoon claymation Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer show that aired like in the late 60’s or something. As a drawing I love it and think it came out great. His arms and feet are shaped funny but look at that amazing beard and mustache. He has a cool hat and yellow earmuffs. I like the colors, they're not primary or neon or even autumn colors but some claymation north pole colors that just feel right for this guy. I liked drawing his little eyes, big nose, pockets and his belt. I hope you enjoy it! 

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money.
